Activity included in Nature Week. The Bioblitz is a nature discovery event organised by the Barcelona Museum of Natural Sciences, among other museums in Europe. For 24 hours, flora and fauna specialists identify all the organisms that they find in a specific area, assisted by volunteers. This year, the Osona Bioblitz aims to discover the biodiversity of the Savassona protected natural area, in the Guilleries-Savassona Area of Natural Interest in Tavèrnoles, a mountainous area populated by holm oaks, pine groves and oak trees, as well as fields, meadows and a set of spectacular sandstone rocks.
