Announcement on International Women's Day

Thursday 8 March is International Women's Day, a day to call for real gender equality between men and women. A number of protests have been announced, on the university campus itself and in the city of Vic.

The University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) supports these demands and reaffirms its commitment to ending all forms of gender discrimination and, in particular, all forms of violence against women.

In order to facilitate participation of the university community in the protests of Thursday 8 March, there should be no evaluations or obligatory activities on that day.
