The climate in Catalonia varies depending on the terrain. The coastal area has a Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot summers. Further inland, the climate is more continental, with cold winters and very hot summers. Snowy winters and mild temperatures in summer are features of the climate high in the mountains to the north.

In Vic summers are short, warm, dry, and mostly clear and the winters are long, very cold, and partly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from -3°C (25°F) to 30°C (86°F) and is rarely below -6°C (20°F) or above 33°C (93°F).

Autumn (September, October and November)

The weather can be pleasant and sunny during this time but it becomes cooler in November. Medium-weight clothing including a raincoat and/or a jacket should keep you comfortable.

Winter (December, January, February)

These months are cooler so you can wear your heavy weight denims during this time. We also recommend bringing some warmer clothes and a jacket. It does not rain too much, however, there are rainy days particularly during these months and the month of April. It is worth bringing a light-weight waterproof jacket, an umbrella, a woolen or down coat, hat or cap, gloves, and warm waterproof boots are essential.

Spring (March, April, May,)

It begins to get warmer but there are still cooler days, especially in March. You should be prepared for both warm/sunny days but also cooler weather with occasional rain.

Summer (June, July, August)

In the summer, lightweight clothing is recommended but should include light or cotton sweaters and trousers for the evenings.

Shops

In Spain the standard voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz.

You can use your electric appliances in Spain, if the standard voltage in your country is in between 220 - 240 V (as is in the UK, Europe, Australia and most of Asia and Africa). If the standard voltage in your country is in the range of 100 V - 127 V (as is in the US, Canada and most South American countries), you need a voltage converter in Spain. You can also consider a combined power plug adapter/voltage converter.

Catalonian vaccination centers supply an individualized care regarding the shots one must take depending on the country, time of the year, type and duration of the trip.
