Chair in AIDS and Related Diseases

The Chair in AIDS and Related Diseases and UVic-UCC signed an agreement with Fight Aids Foundation (FLS) and IrsiCaixa Institute for AIDS research in 2013. The aim of the agreement is to promote scientific collaboration between these institutions.

Mission

The Chair's mission is to generate and disseminate scientific and technological knowledge in the area of HIV infection and related diseases. It is committed to transferring knowledge to society and to the production sector.

Although the Chair's main focus is HIV infection and AIDS, it also works on other related conditions, such as:

• hepatitis
• chronic fatigue
• cancer
• others
