INCOMING STUDENTS

Note: Due to the current situation, restrictions may change. We recommend to all students to check the Spanish consulate in their country regularly to keep on the latest news.

  • Which travelers are required to have a negative PCR or TMA?

All passengers coming from a country / risk zone (referring to the place where they started their journey) whose final destination is a port or airport in Spain will be required, regardless of their nationality or place of residence. If you access by land, the test is not mandatory

  • How long in advance should I have a PCR or TMA?

In the 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain. 

  • Which countries/areas are considered at risk? 

The list of countries/risk areas is published every fifteen days on the website of the Ministery of Health and on the website of Spain Travel Health

  • What supporting documentation for the tests can I be required to present upon arrival? 

A document must be presented proving that the PCR or TMA has been performed with a negative result. The document must be the original, be written in Spanish, English, French or German, on paper or electronic format and must contain at least the first and last name of the traveler, the passport or ID number, the date of the test, the identification and contact details of the test center, the technique used and the negative test result.

The identification document (DNI / passport) that appears in the Health Control Form must coincide with that of the PCR or TMA certificate.

In the event that the supporting document cannot be obtained in the aforementioned languages, the document must be accompanied by a translation into Spanish by an official body.

  • What happens if a test is performed upon my arrival in Spain and it is positive for COVID-19?

The health alert protocols established in coordination with the health authorities of the autonomous communities will be activated, in order to refer them to a health center or to the center they have established for their health care.

Information to consider too: 

  • If you come to Spain from another country you'll have to fill out this health Control Form (FCS) linked to your trip.

  • Ministerial Order (BOE) Rule for the application of a temporary restriction on non-essential travel from third countries to the European Union and Schengen area countries due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19 (In Spanish)
     

The forecasts leads us to a semi-presential learning, which combines face-to-face with non-face-to-face classes. Each faculty uses its own methods so, it is recommendable to contact your academic coordinator in order to know them in detail.

OUTGOING STUDENTS
  • You will need an ID card or passport if you are travelling within the European Union.
  • Some countries also require a visa. You can apply for a visa at the embassy of the country you intend to visit.

  • Countries outside Europe only accept a valid passport as proof of identity.
