"El Disseny Universal de Pràctiques Instrumentals en Grup" [The Universal Design of Instrumental Practices in a Group] by Lluís Solé i Salas

As part of the second cycle of "Els investigadors s'expliquen" [Presentations by researchers] lectures, Lluís Soler i Salas (born Barcelona, 1963) will present his doctoral thesis "El Disseny Universal de Pràctiques Instrumentals en Grup" [The Universal Design of Instrumental Practices in a Group].

Is music the exclusive property of musicians? What is being a musician? Who is musical and who is not? Why do we limit ourselves in terms of making music if we do not do the same for football, cycling or any other sport as there are elite athletes such as Messi or Indurain? This thesis discusses the accessibility of instrumental music for everyone, using an approach based on Universal Design.
