Demonstration Against Gender Violence

The University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia calls on the entire university community to join a demonstration on Friday 23 November, at 12 noon, at the Vic and Manresa campuses, giving voice to our rejection of gender violence, and celebrating the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on Sunday 25 November.
The demonstration at the Vic campus will take place in the Miramarges courtyard, where the  Head of the UVic-UCC Equality Unit, Anna Pérez, will read out the manifesto of the Women and Science Commission of the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia, which UVic-UCC has endorsed , together with the  manifesto of the Catalan Women's Institute.
We call for a commitment to end violence against women because, as the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia manifesto declares, it "is the greatest systemic threat our democratic way of life".
