Non-EU students living in the EU

extraeuro

Non-EU citizens who have a residence permit from another EU country can enter Spain without having to apply for a visa as long as their residence permit from the other EU member state is valid during the application period. However, depending on the type of stay planned, other procedures must be completed:

These students must request a study stay permit at the Barcelona Immigration Office (Calle Murcia 42 or at the Spanish government’s electronic office) within the first 30 days of arrival in Spain.
