"Recognition of credits" is the acceptance by a university (in this case UVic-UCC) of credits that have been obtained on another course, at another university or centre, or for having completed non-academic activities. These credits can be incorporated into your new course and count towards obtaining your degree.
You have to submit an application to recognise credits. Once approved, you need to register for these credits.
- Recognition of credits for access to a course
- Recognition of credits for students already enrolled
RAC credits are the credits that students obtain for doing university activities that are not part of their study plan but that complement or enrich training in other, more transversal areas.
At the student's request, these credits can be added to their academic record through a recognition process.
You can request credit recognition for participating in sports, cross-disciplinary or community support activities, training, student representation, solidarity and cooperation activities, or activities that can be included in the cultural passport.
