The graduation ceremony for 47 students in the first year group of the bachelor's degree programme in Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia, which took place yesterday at the Atlàntida theatre in Vic, had a twofold academic and institutional aspect.

The Covid-19 pandemic had an impact on the choice of bachelor's degree studies related to health. The most significant factors were the desire to help other people (33.2% of cases), enhance civic values (28.4%) and contribute to improving the situation in the country (27.5 %).

The Chair was established to promote styles of leadership that have a positive impact on both the local and global environment, and the personal and professional backgrounds of the two directors will contribute to making its principles and objectives more visible, and raising its international profile.

At its meeting on Tuesday afternoon, the Board of Trustees of the Balmes University Foundation approved the clearance of the budget for the 2021-2022 academic year, and gave the green light to the budget for 2022-2023. This year's budget includes a volume of revenue of 52 million Euros, a figure that is an increase of 7.5% compared to the previous year, which with 48.5 million Euros was balanced at the close of the year.
