"La teva tesi en 4 minuts" competition

7th edition 2024
The Doctoral School is calling the seventh edition of the UVic-UCC "La teva tesi en 4 minuts" competition, aimed at students of any UVic-UCC doctoral program, with the aim of explaining to the public the development of their research in a very short speech, with comprehensible, accessible and comprehensible language and using only their oral communication skills.
The call wants to encourage the junior research community to communicate and disseminate the research they generate at the university and promote access to scientific knowledge in society.
The winner of the sixth edition of the competition, Mariona Caro, with the Vice-Rector for Research and Knowledge Transfer, Dr. Eva Espasa.

UVic-UCC Awards
Award for the best communication of the doctoral thesis in 4 minutes, issued by the competition jury:
- Economic endowment of €1,000
- Accreditation certificate as winner of the Jury Prize
Audience Award for the best communication of the doctoral thesis in 4 minutes, issued by the public:
- Economic endowment of €200
- Accreditation certificate as winner of the Audience Award
All participants will receive a certificate of participation in the Contest.
End of the competition in Tarragona
The UVic-UCC doctoral student who wins the award for the best communication of the doctoral thesis in 4 minutes, will represent the UVic-UCC at the final of the Catalan contest "Presenta la teva tesi en 4 minuts", organized by the Fundació Catalana per la Recerca i la Innovació, with the participation of all Catalan universities. The Catalan final will take place on Thursday 27 June 2024 in the city of Tarragona.
The prize money of the Catalan final is distributed as follows:
• First prize: €3,000 (jury)
• Second prize: €2,000 (jury)
• Third prize: €1,000 (audience)
• Special Mention "Assumpció Català i Poch" for the promotion of the Catalan language (for theses presented in Catalan): €1,000
