Your European Health Insurance Card has to be valid. We recommend arranging private health insurance to cover the duration of your stay.

• Researchers & Professors

If you have a contract with UVic-UCC, you will be guaranteed public healthcare cover. Even though you will be covered by the Spanish national health service (Seguridad Social), we advise you to arrange private health insurance to cover the duration of your stay.

• PhD
• Visitors

If you are a European Union citizen, you will need a valid European Health Insurance Card. However, we still recommend arranging private health insurance to cover the duration of your stay. 

If you are not a European Union citizen, we recommend arranging private health insurance to cover the duration of your stay.
